Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference? An amazing and vibrant SEMH school in St Neots is looking for an exceptional Science Teacher / General Studies Teacher to join their team. Working with students aged 11-16, you’ll have the chance to inspire, support, and empower young learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Science and General Studies lessons tailored to SEMH students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring appropriate intervention and support where needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies that foster a love of learning and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create individual education plans (IEPs) and track student success.
  • Actively contribute to the school’s mission of empowering young people to achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working in an SEMH or SEND setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies for students with additional needs.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and maintain high expectations for all learners.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment.
